The symbol you see here and that accompanies the FFC (Fujishin Family Cellars) label is the family mon, or crest.  Though the winery is new, making wine is not new for the Fujishin family, as stories circulate of Martin's Great Grandfather making Sake in the shed behind his house.  This symbol represented what area of Japan his ancestors came from.  Some mons have the colors inverted inside, while others have the inside design slightly changed.

Fujishin Family Cellars

is a new Winery that emerged in May 2009.  Though the Winery is new,  the Winemaker, Martin Fujishin is well established in winemaking and viticulture.  To learn more about him go the Winemaker & Crew 

Vineyard Updates:

Due to the cold weather and rainy spring we have experienced the vineyards are a bit behind this year.  The viognier seems to be liking the cooler weather but with the current warm snap the reds varieties seem to be coming along nicely.  Stay tuned for future updates!
